Ethen came to me looking for help developing a logo. He and his buddy, Kaleb, had plans to start up a lawn service/landscaping business on the side and hoped to launch this spring.
The request was the typical - a logo that showcased the service they offered. However, there was specific instruction that the perfect logo for them had to have patriotic undertones. Ethen’s military experience along with his love of country was a driving force in the vision they had for their logo.
As a result, my initial designs included patriotic symbols. The one they were most drawn to was one with the flag. While it is easy to see the flag in the design, the horizontal lines also emulate the lines left in the lawn after a fresh mow. The stars in the corner are a direct tie to our nations flag, but they also offer a subtle suggestion of a five star rating. Five stars is synonymous with quality and excellence. The stars and stripes tied together with the grass growing in "lawn" were the exact ingredients necessary to make this logo 'the one.'
This was a special project for me, not only because I know Ethen and am excited for his and Kaleb’s new adventure to begin, but also because of the passion that is their fuel. I am so honored to get to be part of their start and wish Elite Lawn Salon every success.
